My preferred method is "tongue blocking" and note bending is done the same way as you would if you were using the "pucker" method.
An overly simple description would be that you dip your tongue down at the back while still keeping it on the harmonica. This sounds difficult, but so is riding a bicycle if you have never learned to do it.
It is a good idea to try and become proficient at both the tongue blocking and pucker methods. People have a tendency to promote one method only, this is usually their own preferred method.
I have met some very good harp players who only use the pucker method and I've also met some great harp players who only tongue block
