I clean my harp by unscrewing the top 2 screws taking the top and bottom plates and use "Sparkle" which is a anti tarnishing polish.
its perfect for removing all the tarnish on the harmonica plates and it also makes the harmonica look brand new. I think any silver polish kit could work just go to wal mart and check it out.

I also make sure to clean all the polish off (cause you going to put your mouth on it all the time)

another good idea is after i polish it and wash it off, I put the plates in a small container and let them sit in scope. (mouth wash) this makes sure you dont get any bad tastes when playing.

as for the reed and the middle piece of the harmonica, I don't touch that because I don't want to mess anything up.

anyone have any ideas how to clean he middle piece without messing with the reeds?
