has anyone else had problems with the Madcat Shaker?

I've been having difficulty plugging it into anything. I've tried different guitar cords through the adapter that came with it, I've tried plugging it directly into a box... the only thing I've been able to play through is my Danelectro mini amp. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Mahalo
