JD,
The Harmonicats -a harmonica band from the 40's- use a double bass chord harmonica as well as musettes, chromatics, diatonics, and novelty harps in their act.

I looked on Coast2Coastmusic and Suzuki has a 24 chord for $399.00 and a 48 chord for $ 899.00 . You might want to be really serious before investing in one.

There are "more normal" harmonicas too with stunning prices. For example Hohner Amadeus costs 1200 euros (converted to dollars it's quite expensive too). Although Amadeus looks a normal chromatic harmonica...

I've got one! Hohner Akkorda - 3 foot long! can't play the damn thing though! Story was I was browsing an antiques fair and there it was guy wanted £100 for it (don't think he knew how much it was worth) I haggled him down to £80 - bargain of my lifetime I think! - It sounds gorgeous and it's a great talking point. One day I'll learn to play it
