Hi Delboy,
I think the theme tune to 'Midnight Cowboy' was called 'Midnight Cowboy', by John Barry.
see midi link herewith (halfway down the list).

However you may have offered the tab Tonat wanted as most people associate 'Everybodys Talking' with that film more than any other song.

Midnight Cowboy

mid-night cow-boy, mid-night cow-boy, see the lone-some mid-night

* = 1/2 step bend
**= Whole step bend.

I hope that is ok for you. I am a chromatic player learning diatonic.
Backwards way round to most other people. (It's an Irish thing!).

Good luck.

Henry.

The only tab I have seen for Midnight Cowboy was on the HarmonicaLessons.com web site and you would have to join to get the tab. The tab is also for Chromatic harmonica.

There is a book available called "Movie Favorites For Harmonica" which has the tab you are looking for, though again I think it is chromatic.

Hi Mark,
I have already submitted this tab (see mail before yours) but I think Tonat has disappeared.

Hi Henry

I thought Midnight Cowboy was an instrumental composed by John Barry with Toots playing chromatic harmonica?

Where did you get the words from?

Warm greetings Mark,
It is in the 'Movie Favourites' song book.
It Says 'Music by John Barry & words by Jack Gold'.

Take care,

Henry.

Hi Henry

Well I'll be hornswoggled!

The theme used in the film is instrumental though isn't it?

I have never heard or I don't remember hearing this tune with words. You live and learn. Many thanks for the info, now I have to find a copy of the song being sung................................

Cheers
Mark

Hi Mark,
I do not remember the film. I don't think I saw it.
I do remember the theme tune of course, but I did not realise it was just musical.
It was Toots who played on the soundtrack.
Good hunting.

Henry.
