Hi all--

I'm trying to figure out "We Shall Be Free" -- as performed by Woody Guthrie, Leadbelly, and Sonny Terry.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zU6efMni9A4

It seems like the "A" harp makes sense, but the very first note is an F#-- which he seems to play with a whole note draw on the 3 hole.

I'm getting close, but was wondering if (a) I'm on the right track and (b) if anyone has tips for nailing a whole note bend on the 3 hole. ("A" harp)

Thanks in advance!

Steve

Right! So it is. Playing crossharp (the song is in E).

How to play a whole note draw on 3? Just bend a little more than a semitone (one semitone more). Lower your tongue more.
