Speaking as a Beekeeper, bees wax has a higher melting point than parafin. Bees wax is around 130 degrees F. The best way I have found is to heat the comb with a hair dryer then put small chuncks of wax across the comb and melt the wax with the hair dryer.
Bees wax can be melted and used endlessly.
