Hi ALL, I have recently invented a magnetic harmonica holder I call HarpLock. http://www.harplock.com It's unlike anything available it's reasonably priced (20 bucks and the shipping) and it works extremely well. I'm now in the process of trying to figure out how to take it to market. If you get a moment please take a peek at the website listed below. If you have suggestions as to how I might try to sell some of these. Or you could perhaps refer to this to someone who you think might be interested I would be most grateful. Thanks Gary Applegate 317-782-9948
WOW! Your solution to the harp rack is so common-sense, so easy to install or remove, and so inexpensive, everyone who uses a rack ( or everyone who wants to use a rack) should buy one. You are a genius.
As to selling your Harplock, I'd keep it for sale only through you, for at least a year, then contact the major harmonica manufacturers to see if they'll distribute it for you, or buy the patent.
Your idea, if it works, is way ahead of the 20th century harp racks.

gary had these at the bean blossom blues fest this past august. there was quite a buzz about them. initially the harps got attached by velcro but i think there were some folks offering up modifications. perhaps the magnets were one of them.
i can tell you- the thing was solidly built! if i knew how to play a stringed instrument, or harp for that matter, i'd be all over this.
and since we are talking about racks, bottle o blues has come up with a long overdue modification for racks. a simple idea but i have never seen anyone else come up with this. it is a strap that goes around your back and the 2 ends clip onto the rack. this keeps the rack secure to the body and in position to play. there is a demo vid on his site with a guy hanging upside down using it!
