I had a friend who really opted to take lessons online because he really did not have a lot of time to spare and it was really a lot comfortable doing it at the comfort of your own home.

But there are always the extra stuff you pick up when doing it personally and you obviously would not be able to pick up those when doing it online. He was able to perform quite a number of free notes already though.
