Jan-22-05 9:32am [ re: ginanddiatonic ]hey texas joe i live in dallas county, and elmo lives north of denton texas. i asked three questions 2 in personal e-mails to the site moderator and listed a howdy in the public forum . i checked it for three weeks and no replies . so i guess it wasnt as an active site as i first anticapted . i like to visit with others and be pro active but it was apparent apathy was the only thing i found . if you will notice im usually very active in this club why because of response from others and a general sense of concern one for the other. im not trying to disc the site , but it does seem a bit slow in invoking any response i even e-mailed other members in my immedeat area and got no response. i personally thought it would be really cool to meet with some folks here . but i could fall asleep waiting for a response . thank you this is the first response ive had from one of your club members since i posted . i was beginning to think maybe it was one of those ghost town type sites. i guess i will try it again now that i know someone is there thanks joe! and you are welcome to visit us here as well as any other member of hoots, would be anytime. we are all around the world in here from all over the united states, ireland, england austrilla, germany, africa, china, and many other countries some current and some not so current we also have a live chat were other members can play backing tracks and play for one another , or just play along its inexpensive to join and a lot to do. and great harmonica players just enjoying playing on a global bassis. Jan-24-05 10:48pm [ re: spider ]Hey Spider and Elmo, There is a Dallas HOOT (Harmonica Organization of Texas) chapter. As I said earlier, I belong to the Houston chapter. Anyway, the chapter president in Dallas is Jerl Welch and the contact ph. number is 214-327-5008. They meet the 3rd Tuesday of each month at Richland College in the music building. Jerl has all the info. I've never been to the Dallas chapter meetings so I can't tell you how it is. The guys in our chapter are great though. If you guys are ever in Houston come by for a meeting! Any and Everybody is welcome at ours. That chapter might not be very technologically savy if you know what I mean!!! Might be better to call them. [ Edited: Jan-24-05 4:50pm by Texas Joe ] |
