1st and 2nd hole |
Jun-14-04 2:45pm Ive been reading some other questions and ive found out that a lot of people have this same problem. I have a 10 hole diatonic harp in key of C. My first and second hole make a nasty sound when i draw on them. Is there a certain technique for these holes or might it be broken? If it is broken then do i need to buy a whole new plate or just the individual reeds and do the plates cost much. any info would be appreciated, thanx ---------------------------------------- Where you think you fall, I adore you, where you shut your soul, I will open for you. Jun-14-04 2:54pm [ re: Max ]dont beleive its broken bro, most of the time it,s just the nature of the beast so to speak . when i play i use the lower 2 key,s just to touch upon. and add a little backbone to the song. also the upper 2 key,s have a no bend policy when i worked on getting them to bend i broke reeds , so i just decided to use them in their natural state. do know what kinda harp your playing , i play honer pro harp and the honer reed plates that replace it are the crossharp seri,s and run about 20.00 hope that helps later bro. ---------------------------------------- drew |

Jun-15-04 10:30pm [ re: Verona ]Verona, Does it sound any better if you breath in through your nose while you draw on the #2 hole? It should sound the same as blow 3. Switch back and fourth between 2 draw and 3 blow breathing through your nose too while you play, Both these notes are "G" on a "C" harmonica. ---------------------------------------- Webmaster seamus |
