hey guys, i am having trouble bending too. the thing is i think i might have it down but i don't know if i am bending or just changing the sound, maybe i can get my mic working and try and get in the chat room on thursday, if i did could u guys help tell me if i was bending properly?
touchdown84, you can bet your last dollar that the guys in the chatroom will be more then glade to help you out with your bending notes.
However the more help you get the better and faster you'll become good at bending notes. So in addtion to getting help from the guys in the chatroom you might want to try the "Bend-O-Meter". Yup thats right, there is a software program that you can use to help you know if your bending the notes just right. Click on the link below and check it out......
Hey Bear, I also use the u-block method and it is harder to bend notes that way. I have been able to bend with it somewhat by keeping my tongue in contact with the comb but dropping my jaw and kind of curving my tongue down in the middle. I don't know how else to describe it but i hope it makes some sense to you. I have much better luck bending notes with the pucker method and just acting like i'm whistling sucking in . Ralph
Same here Ralph, I to am able to bend notes with the U method. But like you find it much much easier using the pucker method.
Or I sould say I "think" I'm bending the notes. Being I dont have use of a mic its hard for me to tell if I'm doing it right. When I try to bend notes I do get a different sound. Weather its right or not only God knows at this point.......LOL
