I used to play blues harp and have recently switched to playing traditional Scottish music.
I wonder if any of you have any experience of star or wheel harmonicas.
I've been considering buying a Hohner Kreuzwender for some time now, but it's a bit pricey and Hohner don't have a lot of information on their website. I have a couple of Hohner tremolos that don't go down as far as the hole 0 of a standard 10-holer (my Big Valley C and the D side of a D-A Double Echo) and this really doesn't suit my style, so I don't want to spend €300+ on something without knowing it'll do what I want.
The Seydel Concerto Star 6 seems to have the notes I'm after, but it's quite expensive too, and I wasn't really after an octave.
The other option I know of is the Hering Carambola. It's an awful lot less expensive than the other two (the crisis must have hit Brazil harder than Germany!) but again, like the Hohner, I can't find any information on the note layout.
So can anyone tell me anything about the note layout of the Carambola or Kreuzwender?
